FAQs about our Stocks & Bone Broths

Very good question! We have a bit to say on the differences between stock and broth (spoiler alert – there are a lot of bone broths out there that should really be called stocks). You can read our break down here

We do this simply because we want the person using the product to be in control of the salt that they are using. Many liquid stocks and broths have large amounts of salt in them, making the dishes they are used in super salty. By not adding salt in our liquid stocks and bone broths, we also make them perfect for people following low sodium diets, or for parents who are making homemade baby food.

Please note that our Concentrated Bone Broths and Ready to Drink Bone Broths do have salt added to them.

Our Concentrated Beef Bone Broth is halal certified at its source of origin (New Zealand). It however is not re-certified when we bottle it in Australia. All of our liquid Beef Bone Broths are not halal certified.

Each product has storage instructions on the side of the package. Most can be kept for at least a few days in the fridge after opening. The exception to this is our Concentrated Bone Broth range, which can be kept in the fridge for an exceptionally long time (which is why we do not provide a time indication on that pack – it will be used long before it goes off!).

Yes they are! That’s because we do not add any garlic or onion when making our Bone Broths (if we did that, they would become stock). Bonus fact – we also do not use any garlic in our Chicken, Beef, Vegetable, Mushroom or Snapper Stocks.

None of our products require refrigeration before being opened, but should always be stored in a cool, dry place.
